Ⅰ. 서문 | 왜 우리는 중동 교회를 위해 기도하는가

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

초대교회는 로마의 검 아래에서 태어났다.  

오늘의 중동 교회는 박해와 감시, 투옥과 처형 속에서 살아간다.

교회는 건물이 아니라 공동체였고,  

신앙은 취미가 아니라 생명이었으며,  

예배는 행사가 아니라 고백이었다.

우리는 지금  

초대교회와 같은 자리에서 신앙을 지키는 형제자매들을 위해  

한 몸으로 기도하고자 한다.

The early church was born under the sword of Rome.  

Today, the Middle Eastern church lives under persecution, surveillance, prison, and death.

The church was not a building but a people.  

Faith was not a hobby but life itself.  

Worship was not an event but a confession.

Today, we stand with our brothers and sisters  

who keep their faith in the same place where the early church once stood.

Ⅱ. 오늘의 • 초대교회와 중동 교회

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

초대교회는 로마제국의 박해 속에서 자랐다.  

중동 교회는 이슬람 국가들의 압제 속에서 자라고 있다.

그들은  

지하에서 예배드리고,  

성경을 숨기며,  

가족의 배교 압박을 견디고,  

예수의 이름을 부르는 대가로 감옥과 죽음을 각오한다.

그러나 교회는 사라지지 않는다.  

피 위에서 다시 자라고,  

눈물 위에서 다시 일어서며,  

순교 위에서 다시 부흥한다.

The early church grew under the persecution of the Roman Empire.  

The Middle Eastern church grows under oppression in Islamic nations.

They worship underground,  

hide their Bibles,  

endure pressure from their own families,  

and risk prison and death for the name of Jesus.

Yet the Church does not disappear.  

It grows on blood,  

rises on tears,  

and revives through martyrdom.

Ⅲ. 순교자의 계보 — 오늘을 비추는 스승들

폴리캅  

“86년 동안 그분은 나를 해하지 않으셨다.  

내가 어떻게 나의 왕을 모독할 수 있겠는가.”

이냐시오(이그나티우스)  

“나는 들짐승의 이빨로 빻겨져 하나님의 밀알이 되고 싶다.”

터툴리안  

“순교자의 피는 교회의 씨앗이다.”

본회퍼  

“침묵하는 것은 악에 동조하는 것이다.”

이들은 모두  

살기 위해 믿지 않았고,  

믿기 위해 살았다.

“I am God’s wheat, ground by the teeth of beasts.”

“The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church.”

They did not believe in order to live.  

They lived in order to believe.

Ⅳ. 오늘의 고백

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

우리는 편안한 신앙의 시대에 살지만  

그들은 죽음을 각오한 신앙의 자리에서 산다.

우리는 자유롭게 예배하지만  

그들은 생명을 걸고 예배한다.

우리는 질문할 수 있지만  

그들은 증언해야 한다.

그들의 믿음은 오늘 우리의 양심이다.

We live in an age of comfortable faith,  

but they live where faith demands life itself.

We worship freely,  

but they worship at the risk of death.

We may question,  

but they must testify.

Their faith is our conscience today.

Ⅴ. 중동 교회를 위한 공동기도문

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

주님,  

초대교회의 피 위에 교회를 세우신 하나님,  

오늘도 중동의 땅에서  

당신의 이름을 부르는 형제자매들을 기억하소서.

이름조차 부를 수 없는 곳에서  

당신을 주라 고백하는 자들을 지켜 주소서.  

가족을 잃고, 집을 잃고, 생명을 내어놓으면서도  

예수의 이름을 부인하지 않는 그들의 믿음을 붙드소서.

그들의 눈물 위에 교회를 세우시고,  

그들의 침묵 속에 복음을 자라게 하시며,  

그들의 순교 위에 부흥을 일으키소서.

우리를 편안한 신앙이 아니라  

증인의 신앙으로 부르시는 주님,  

그들의 믿음 앞에 부끄럽지 않게 하소서.

십자가를 부끄러워하지 않게 하시고  

복음을 숨기지 않게 하시며  

생명보다 주를 사랑하게 하소서.

예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘.

Lord,  

God who built the Church on the blood of the early saints,  

remember today our brothers and sisters in the Middle East  

who call upon Your name.

Protect those who confess You where Your name is forbidden.  

Strengthen those who lose family, home, and life  

yet refuse to deny Jesus.

Build Your Church upon their tears,  

let the Gospel grow in their silence,  

and raise revival through their sacrifice.

Call us not to comfortable faith  

but to the faith of witnesses.  

May we not be ashamed before their testimony.

Let us not be ashamed of the cross,  

not hide the Gospel,  

and love You more than life.

초대교회는 피로 복음을 지켰고  

중동 교회는 생명으로 복음을 지킨다.

The early church guarded the Gospel with blood.  

The Middle Eastern church guards the Gospel with life.  

And today, we stand on the fruit of their faith.
