하나님은

내가 하나님을 위해 세우기 전에

먼저 나를 세우신다

God first establishes me

III. 관찰 | Observation

사무엘하 7장에서

다윗은 하나님을 위해 집을 짓고자 한다.

그러나 하나님은

다윗의 계획을 그대로 받지 않으시고

오히려 다윗을 위해 집을 세우시겠다고 말씀하신다.

다윗의 열심은 귀하지만,

중심은 인간의 헌신이 아니라

하나님의 주도권이다.

In 2 Samuel 7,

David desires to build a house for God.

Yet God does not simply receive David’s plan as it is;

instead He says

that He will build a house for David.

David’s zeal is precious,

but the center is not human devotion

but God’s initiative.

IV. 해석 | Interpretation

이 장은

하나님 나라의 방향이

인간이 하나님께 무엇을 해 드릴까에서 시작되지 않고

하나님이 먼저 무엇을 하시는가에서 시작됨을 보여 준다.

다윗은 좋은 의도를 가졌지만,

하나님은 그보다 더 큰 언약을 준비하셨다.

집을 짓는 문제보다

왕조를 세우는 문제가 더 깊었다.

하나님은 다윗의 한 시대만이 아니라

그의 후손과 미래를 포함한 약속을 주신다.

그래서 사무엘하 7장은

열심보다 언약,

계획보다 약속,

인간의 손보다 하나님의 주권을 보여 준다.

This chapter shows

that the direction of God’s kingdom

does not begin with

what humans will do for God,

but with what God Himself will first do.

David had a good intention,

but God had prepared a greater covenant.

The issue was deeper than building a house;

it was the establishing of a royal line.

God gives a promise

that includes not only David’s own lifetime

but also his descendants and the future.

Thus 2 Samuel 7 reveals

covenant over zeal,

promise over plan,

and God’s sovereignty over human hands.

V. 적용 | Application

나는 하나님을 위해 무언가 하려는 열심 속에서

하나님의 주도권을 잊고 있지 않은가.

나는 계획은 많지만

하나님의 약속을 기다리는 마음은 약하지 않은가.

믿음은

내가 하나님을 위해 무엇을 쌓는가보다

하나님이 먼저 나를 세우신다는 사실을

받아들이는 데서 시작된다.

Am I forgetting God’s initiative

in my zeal to do something for Him?

Do I have many plans

but a weak heart for waiting on His promise?

Faith begins

not in what I build for God,

but in receiving

that God first establishes me.

VI. 기도 | Prayer

주님,

내 열심이

주의 뜻보다 앞서지 않게 하소서.

내가 하나님을 위해 무엇을 하려는 마음보다

하나님이 먼저 나를 세우신다는 약속을

더 깊이 믿게 하소서.

계획보다 언약을,

성과보다 은혜를,

내 손보다 하나님의 주권을

더 크게 보게 하소서.

Lord,

do not let my zeal

run ahead of Your will.

More than my desire to do something for You,

let me believe more deeply

that You first establish me.

Teach me to see

covenant above plans,

grace above achievement,

and Your sovereignty above my own hands.

VIII. 결론 | Conclusion

하나님 나라의 시작은

내가 하나님을 위해 세우는 데 있지 않고

하나님이 먼저 나를 세우시는 데 있다

The beginning of God’s kingdom

does not lie in what I build for God
