Without grace,

II. 오늘의 교훈 | Today’s Lesson

사무엘하 7–8장은

하나님 나라의 중심이

인간의 헌신 자체가 아니라

하나님의 약속과 함께하심임을 보여 준다.

다윗은 좋은 뜻을 가졌지만,

하나님은 그보다 더 크고 긴 언약을 말씀하신다.

그리고 그 약속 위에서

다윗은 승리를 경험한다.

그러므로 믿음은

하나님을 위해 무언가 하려는 마음보다

하나님이 먼저 무엇을 하셨는가를 붙드는 데서 자란다.

2 Samuel 7–8 shows

that the center of God’s kingdom

is not human devotion itself,

but God’s promise and presence.

David has a good intention,

yet God speaks a covenant

greater and longer than that intention.

And upon that promise,

David experiences victory.

Thus faith grows

not first from what we wish to do for God,

but from holding fast

to what God has first done.
