Jerusalem was captured,

the temple was burned,

and the people were taken into exile.

열왕기하의 질문은 이것입니다.

The question of 2 Kings is this:

“왜 왕국은 무너졌는가?”

“Why did the kingdom collapse?”

대답은 분명합니다.

The answer is clear.

말씀을 떠났고,

언약을 버렸고,

우상을 따랐기 때문입니다.

Because the people departed from the Word,

abandoned the covenant,

and followed idols.

그러나 무너진 역사를 본 뒤

곧바로 역대상으로 넘어가면,

계보와 성전 준비가 단순한 역사 자료처럼 보일 수 있습니다.

But if we move directly from the collapsed history

into 1 Chronicles,

the genealogies and temple preparation

may look like mere historical records.

그래서 그 사이에

시편 4권과 5권을 먼저 읽습니다.

Therefore, between them,

we first read Psalm Books 4 and 5.

시편 4권은

무너진 왕국 앞에서도

하나님이 여전히 왕이심을 고백하게 합니다.

Psalm Book 4 teaches us to confess

that even before a collapsed kingdom,

God is still King.

시편 5권은

무너진 백성을

말씀과 찬양으로 다시 세웁니다.

Psalm Book 5 restores the fallen people

through the Word and praise.

회복의 구조로 보입니다.
