하나님은 모든 것을 때에 맞게 아름답게 하십니다.

시간을 지배하려는 욕망을 내려놓고,

하나님의 때를 신뢰하는 삶입니다.

Human beings cannot hold every season,

but God makes everything beautiful in its time.

Therefore faith lays down

the desire to control time

and trusts the time of God.

גַּם אֶת־הָעֹלָם נָתַן בְּלִבָּם

מִבְּלִי אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יִמְצָא הָאָדָם

אֶת־הַמַּעֲשֶׂה אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה הָאֱלֹהִים

מֵרֹאשׁ וְעַד־סוֹף

때를 따라 아름답게 하셨고

또 사람들에게는 영원을 사모하는 마음을 주셨느니라.

III. 👁 관찰 | Observation

전도서 1–4장은

인간 삶의 한계를 정직하게 바라봅니다.

사람은 많이 보고,

많이 듣고,

많이 일하고,

많이 쌓아도

완전히 만족하지 못합니다.

쾌락도,

성취도,

지혜도,

수고도

죽음과 시간 앞에서 한계를 드러냅니다.

전도서 3장은

모든 일에 때가 있다고 말합니다.

날 때가 있고,

죽을 때가 있으며,

심을 때가 있고,

뽑을 때가 있습니다.

울 때가 있고,

웃을 때가 있으며,

찾을 때가 있고,

잃을 때가 있습니다.

사람은 모든 때를 통제할 수 없습니다.

그러나 하나님은

모든 것을 때에 맞게 아름답게 하십니다.

Ecclesiastes 1–4 honestly faces

the limits of human life.

A person may see much,

hear much,

work much,

and gather much,

yet still not be fully satisfied.

Pleasure,

achievement,

wisdom,

and labor

all reveal their limits

before death and time.

Ecclesiastes 3 says

that everything has its time.

There is a time to be born,

and a time to die;

a time to plant,

and a time to uproot.

There is a time to weep,

and a time to laugh;

a time to seek,

and a time to lose.

Human beings cannot control every season.

But God makes everything beautiful

in its time.

IV. 🧠 해석 | Interpretation

전도서의 “헛됨”은

삶이 무가치하다는 말이 아닙니다.

하나님 없이 붙들려는 삶이

손에 잡히지 않는다는 고백입니다.

인간은 영원을 사모하지만,

처음부터 끝까지 하나님의 일을 다 측량할 수 없습니다.

그래서 인간은

시간을 소유하려 하고,

성과를 붙들려 하며,

인생을 자기 손 안에 넣으려 합니다.

그러나 전도서는

그 모든 시도가 해 아래에서 헛됨을 드러낸다고 말합니다.

믿음은

시간을 포기하는 것이 아닙니다.

믿음은

시간의 주인이 내가 아님을 인정하는 것입니다.

하나님은

내가 이해하지 못하는 때에도 일하시고,

내가 붙들 수 없는 시간 속에서도

당신의 일을 이루십니다.

The “vanity” of Ecclesiastes

does not mean that life has no value.

It confesses that life grasped without God

cannot be held in human hands.

Human beings long for eternity,

yet they cannot measure God’s work

from beginning to end.

So people try to possess time,

hold achievement,

and place life within their own hands.

But Ecclesiastes reveals

that all such attempts are vanity under the sun.

Faith does not mean giving up time.

Faith means acknowledging

that I am not the lord of time.

God works even in seasons

I do not understand,

and He accomplishes His work

within time I cannot control.

V. 🔥 적용 | Application

오늘 내가 붙들고 놓지 못하는 때는 무엇입니까?

지나간 때입니까?

아직 오지 않은 때입니까?

내가 원하는 결과가 이루어져야 한다고

고집하는 시간입니까?

하나님은 모든 것을

내가 원하는 때가 아니라

그분의 때에 아름답게 하십니다.

오늘 해야 할 일은

시간을 두려워하는 것이 아니라

하나님을 신뢰하는 것입니다.

수고하십시오.

그러나 수고를 우상으로 만들지 마십시오.

기다리십시오.

그러나 절망으로 기다리지 마십시오.

하나님의 때를 신뢰하십시오.

What season am I holding onto today?

A season that has passed?

A season that has not yet come?

A time in which I insist

that my desired result must happen?

God makes everything beautiful

not in my time,

but in His time.

What I must do today

is not fear time,

but trust God.

Work faithfully.

But do not make labor an idol.

Wait patiently.

But do not wait in despair.

Trust the time of God.

VI. 🙏 기도 | Prayer

주님,

제가 시간을 제 손에 붙들려는 욕망을 내려놓게 하소서.

이해되지 않는 때에도

주님이 일하고 계심을 믿게 하소서.

지나간 시간을 후회로만 보지 않게 하시고,

오지 않은 시간을 불안으로만 기다리지 않게 하소서.

모든 것을 때에 맞게 아름답게 하시는 하나님을 신뢰하게 하소서.

Lord,

help me lay down the desire

to hold time in my own hands.

Let me trust

that You are working

even in seasons I do not understand.

Do not let me see the past only with regret,

or wait for the future only with anxiety.

Help me trust the God

who makes everything beautiful in its time.

하나님은

Do not try to hold every season.

Do not try to possess every answer now.

God makes everything beautiful

in its time,

even within seasons

you do not yet understand.
