Chapter 29 exposes

the pride of Pharaoh

and Israel’s misplaced confidence

in Egypt.

Pharaoh declares

that the Nile belongs to him,

30장은

Chapter 30 announces

the approaching day of the LORD

and the collapse

of Egypt’s military power

Chapter 31 compares Assyria

to a magnificent cedar.

No matter how high

강대국도 죽음과 심판을

인간의 영광은 영원하지 않습니다.

Chapter 32 is a lament

over Pharaoh and Egypt.

Even great powers

cannot escape death and judgment,

and human glory does not last forever.
