II. 열방도 하나님의 통치 아래 있다 | The Nations Are under God’s Rule

25장부터

에스겔의 시선은

이스라엘 주변의 나라들로 향합니다.

암몬,

모압,

에돔,

블레셋도

하나님의 도덕적 통치 밖에 있지 않습니다.

하나님은

이스라엘만의 지역적 신이 아니라

모든 민족과 역사의 주권자이십니다.

Beginning in chapter 25,

Ezekiel turns his attention

to the nations surrounding Israel.

Ammon,

Moab,

Edom,

and Philistia

are not outside

God’s moral rule.

The LORD is not merely

a local God of Israel.

He is sovereign

over nations and history.

III. 다른 사람의 고난을 기뻐하는 죄 | Rejoicing over Another’s Suffering

암몬은

성소가 더럽혀지고

이스라엘이 황폐해졌을 때

기뻐했습니다.

에돔과 블레셋은

원한과 복수로 행동했습니다.

Ammon rejoiced

when the sanctuary was profaned

and Israel was devastated.

Edom and Philistia

acted out of vengeance.

God judges

not only outward actions,

but also the heart

that delights

in another’s downfall.

IV. 두로의 경제적 교만 | Tyre’s Economic Pride

두로는

고대 세계의 중요한

무역 중심지였습니다.

예루살렘의 몰락을

자신의 경제적 기회로 보았습니다.

그러나 경제적 성공이

도덕적 정당성을

보장하지는 않습니다.

Tyre was

a major commercial center

of the ancient world.

It viewed Jerusalem’s fall

as an economic opportunity.

But economic success

does not guarantee

moral righteousness.

V. 세계 무역의 화려함과 한계 | The Splendor and Limits of Global Trade

27장은

두로를

화려한 배처럼 묘사합니다.

많은 지역의 상품과

민족들이 연결됩니다.

그러나 거대한 무역망도

한순간에 침몰할 수 있습니다.

인간 문명의 연결성과 규모가

영원성을 보장하지 않습니다.

Chapter 27 portrays Tyre

as a magnificent ship.

Goods and peoples

from many regions

are connected through its trade.

Yet even such a vast network

can sink suddenly.

Human scale

and interconnectedness

do not guarantee permanence.

VI. 교만의 중심 | The Heart of Pride

28장에서

두로의 통치자는

자신의 지혜와 부 때문에

마음이 높아집니다.

인간이

자신의 능력을 절대화할 때

창조주와 피조물의 경계를

잊게 됩니다.

In chapter 28,

the ruler of Tyre

becomes proud

because of wisdom and wealth.

When human ability

is treated as absolute,

the distinction

between Creator and creature

is forgotten.

VII. 하나님처럼 되려는 유혹 | The Temptation to Be Like God

교만의 깊은 문제는

성공 자체가 아닙니다.

성공을 통해

자신을 삶의 최종 주권자로

생각하는 것입니다.

성경은

능력과 지혜를 부정하지 않습니다.

그것들의 근원이

하나님이라는 사실을

잊지 말라고 합니다.

The deepest problem of pride

is not success itself.

It is using success

to imagine ourselves

as the final rulers

of our own lives.

Scripture does not reject

ability or wisdom.

It reminds us

that their ultimate source

is God.

VIII. 심판 뒤의 회복 | Restoration beyond Judgment

28장의 마지막은

심판으로만 끝나지 않습니다.

하나님은

흩어진 이스라엘을 모으고

안전하게 살게 하겠다고

약속하십니다.

심판의 목적은

악을 드러내는 데서 끝나지 않고

하나님의 거룩함과

통치를 나타냅니다.

Chapter 28

does not end

with judgment alone.

God promises

to gather Israel

and enable His people

to dwell securely.

Judgment exposes evil

and reveals

God’s holiness

and sovereign rule.

IX. “내가 여호와인 줄 알리라” | “They Will Know That I Am the LORD”

에스겔에서 반복되는

중요한 선언입니다.

심판도,

구원도,

역사의 궁극적 목적도

하나님이 누구신지를

드러내는 데 연결됩니다.

This is one

of Ezekiel’s recurring declarations.

Judgment,

deliverance,

and the movement of history

all reveal

who the LORD is.

X. 오늘의 적용 | Today’s Application

다른 사람의 실패를

나의 기회로만 보지 마십시오.

성공했다고

교만하지 마십시오.

재산과 능력을

영원한 안전으로 삼지 마십시오.

모든 것을 주신 하나님을

기억하십시오.

Do not view

another person’s failure

merely as your opportunity.

Do not become proud

because of success.

Do not make wealth

or ability

your permanent security.

Remember the God

from whom all things come.

XI. 핵심 선언 | Core Declaration

사람의 몰락을

기뻐하지 않겠습니다.

성공 속에서도

교만하지 않겠습니다.

힘과 부보다

하나님을 의지하겠습니다.

주께서 여호와이심을 알고

그분 안에서

참된 안전을 찾겠습니다.

I will not rejoice

in another person’s fall.

I will not become proud

in success.

I will trust God

more than power or wealth.

I will know

that He is the LORD

and find true security

in Him.
