II. “내 이 강은 내 것이라” | “My Nile Is My Own”

29장의 바로는

나일강을 자신의 것으로 선언합니다.

나일강은

애굽의 농업과 경제,

문명 전체를 지탱하는

생명의 기반이었습니다.

바로의 문제는

강을 이용한 것이 아니라

그것의 궁극적 주인이

자신이라고 생각한 것입니다.

In chapter 29,

Pharaoh claims the Nile

as his own.

The river sustained

Egyptian agriculture,

economy,

and civilization.

Pharaoh’s problem

was not using the river,

but imagining himself

to be its ultimate owner.

III. 교만은 창조주를 잊는다 | Pride Forgets the Creator

교만은

자신의 능력을 인정하는 것과

다릅니다.

교만은

능력의 근원을 잊고

자신을 최종적인 주인으로

세우는 것입니다.

Pharaoh’s declaration reveals

a deeper spiritual problem.

Pride forgets

the source of human ability

and places the self

in the position

that belongs to God.

IV. 갈대 지팡이 같은 애굽 | Egypt as a Staff of Reed

29장은 또한

애굽이 이스라엘에게

“갈대 지팡이”가 되었다고 말합니다.

붙들면 부러지고

의지하면 상하게 하는

거짓 의지처였습니다.

하나님보다

정치적 힘을 더 의지한 결과입니다.

Chapter 29 also describes Egypt

as a staff of reed

for the house of Israel.

When grasped,

it broke.

When leaned upon,

it failed.

Political power

had become

a false source of security.

V. 여호와의 날 | The Day of the LORD

30장은

“여호와의 날”이

가깝다고 선언합니다.

이 날은

인간의 힘과 질서가

하나님의 심판 아래

드러나는 날입니다.

Chapter 30 announces

that the day of the LORD

is near.

It is a day

when human power

and human systems

are exposed

under divine judgment.

VI. 하나님이 세우시고 낮추신다 | God Raises Up and Brings Down

애굽의 강한 팔도

하나님께서 꺾으실 수 있으며

바벨론의 세력도

하나님의 역사적 심판을 위한

도구로 사용됩니다.

역사의 최종 주권은

어느 제국이나 통치자에게도

있지 않습니다.

Egypt’s strong arm

can be broken by God,

and Babylon can become

an instrument

within His historical judgment.

Final sovereignty over history

belongs neither

to an empire

nor to a ruler.

It belongs to God.

VII. 앗수르의 백향목 | The Cedar of Assyria

31장은

앗수르를

높고 아름다운 백향목으로

묘사합니다.

그 높이와 아름다움은

놀라웠지만

마음이 높아졌을 때

그 나무도 쓰러졌습니다.

Chapter 31 portrays Assyria

as a magnificent

and lofty cedar.

Its greatness

was impressive,

yet when pride filled its heart,

the great tree

was brought down.

VIII. 높이와 영원성은 다르다 | Greatness Is Not Eternity

높이 올라갔다고 해서

영원히 서는 것은 아닙니다.

국가도,

기업도,

지도자도,

개인도 마찬가지입니다.

성공의 크기는

영원성을 보장하지 않습니다.

To rise high

does not mean

to stand forever.

The same is true

of nations,

institutions,

leaders,

and individuals.

The size of success

does not guarantee permanence.

IX. 바로를 위한 애가 | A Lament over Pharaoh

32장은

위대해 보였던 바로와 애굽이

결국 죽음의 현실 아래

놓이는 모습을 보여 줍니다.

인간의 힘이 아무리 커도

죽음을 넘어서는

절대적 권력이 될 수 없습니다.

Chapter 32 laments

Pharaoh and Egypt

as they are brought

under the reality of death.

No human power,

however great,

can become absolute

or escape mortality.

X. 복음적 통찰 | Gospel Insight

성경은

인간의 교만을 무너뜨리지만

인간의 가치를 없애지는 않습니다.

우리는

하나님이 아니지만

하나님의 은혜를 받은

피조물입니다.

그러므로 참된 자유는

모든 것을 통제하는 데 있지 않고

하나님을 하나님으로 인정하며

그분의 은혜 안에서

자신의 자리를 받아들이는 데 있습니다.

Scripture brings down

human pride

without destroying

human dignity.

We are not God,

but creatures

who receive His grace.

True freedom therefore

does not lie

in controlling everything.

It lies in acknowledging God

as God

and receiving our place

within His grace.

XI. 오늘의 적용 | Today’s Application

내가 이룬 것을

감사히 사용하십시오.

그러나

“내가 만들었다”는 교만으로

하나님을 잊지 마십시오.

사람의 힘을

절대적으로 의지하지 마십시오.

성공할 때는 겸손하고

흔들릴 때는

하나님의 주권을 신뢰하십시오.

Use gratefully

what you have achieved.

But do not allow

“I made this”

to become pride

that forgets God.

Do not put

absolute trust

in human power.

Be humble in success

and trust God’s sovereignty

when circumstances shake.

XII. 핵심 선언 | Core Declaration

모든 것이

내 힘으로 이루어졌다고

말하지 않겠습니다.

주신 분을 기억하겠습니다.

사람의 힘을

최종적인 의지처로 삼지 않고

역사의 주인이신

하나님을 신뢰하겠습니다.

I will not say

that everything

was accomplished

by my strength alone.

I will remember

the One who gave.

I will not make

human power

my final security.

I will trust God,

the Lord of history.
