I. 칼빈 | Calvin

칼빈의 관점에서

인간의 모든 재능과 성취는

하나님의 선물입니다.

그러므로 능력과 부가 커질수록

사람은 자신을 높이기보다

그것을 주신 하나님을

더욱 기억해야 합니다.

은사를 자기 영광의 근거로 삼을 때

선물은 교만의 도구로 변합니다.

From Calvin’s perspective,

human gifts and achievements

are ultimately gifts from God.

Therefore,

as ability and wealth increase,

we should remember

the Giver more deeply

rather than exalt ourselves.

When gifts become grounds

for self-glory,

they become instruments of pride.

II. 코메니우스 | Comenius

코메니우스의 관점에서

지식과 기술은

그 자체가 최종 목적이 아닙니다.

지혜는

많이 아는 것뿐 아니라

자신의 위치와 한계를

바르게 아는 데 있습니다.

참된 교육은

능력 있는 사람뿐 아니라

겸손하게 그 능력을 사용하는 사람을

길러야 합니다.

From Comenius’s perspective,

knowledge and skill

are not ultimate ends.

Wisdom means

not only knowing much,

but understanding

our proper place and limits.

True education should form

not merely capable people,

but people who use

their abilities humbly.

III. 본회퍼 | Bonhoeffer

본회퍼의 관점에서

신앙은

자기 힘을 절대화하는 삶과

양립할 수 없습니다.

그리스도를 따른다는 것은

자신을 중심에 놓는 삶에서

벗어나는 것입니다.

우리에게 주어진 힘은

자기 확대보다

이웃을 섬기는 데 사용되어야 합니다.

From Bonhoeffer’s perspective,

faith cannot coexist

with making our own power absolute.

Following Christ

means moving away

from a self-centered life.

The strength entrusted to us

should be used

to serve others,

not merely to enlarge ourselves.
