I. Open the Whole Map Again

We began in Gaza, moved through Lebanon and Syria, examined Iran and Hormuz, and then looked south toward Yemen and the Red Sea.

Events that appeared to be separate wars proved to be connected within a larger regional order.

II. Something Older Than War

Yet the Middle East must never be remembered only for war.

For thousands of years it has been a meeting place of civilizations, religions, commerce, and learning.

War is not the whole story of the Middle East.

III. Distinguish the Bible from Modern States

It is dangerous to make simple one-to-one identifications between biblical Israel, Persia, Assyria, or Babylon and contemporary states.

The Bible is not a coded chart for decoding every movement of modern international politics.

It offers something deeper: a framework for understanding God and humanity, sin and justice, judgment and salvation, war and peace.

IV. Discernment Before Prediction

Whenever international crises intensify, there is a temptation to place individual events immediately onto an end-times timetable.

The first Christian responsibility, however, is not to calculate dates but to remain watchful and faithful.

Discernment is not the art of producing fear.

It is the capacity to see truth and act responsibly.

V. See the Nations

The biblical story does not end with one nation.

The blessing promised through Abraham reaches toward all nations, and the gospel moves from Jerusalem toward the ends of the earth.

A Christian perspective on the Middle East therefore cannot focus only on the victory of one state.

Israelis, Palestinians, Iranians, Lebanese, Syrians, and Yemenis are all human beings created in the image of God.

VI. The Place of the Church

The Church is not a propaganda institution for war.

It is called to speak truth, remember those who suffer, and pray and work for reconciliation, justice, and peace.

The interests of a state must never simply be identified with the Kingdom of God.

VII. From One Connected Front to One Connected World

Looking across the front stretching from Gaza to Hormuz reveals one fundamental reality:

The world is connected.

War is connected. Economies are connected. Human suffering is connected.

Peace, therefore, must also become connected.

Bible365Mission's final question concerning the Middle East is not, “Who will win?”

It is:

“How shall we discern truth, love our suffering neighbors, and live as peacemakers in our time?”

The Word does not call us to escape from the world.

The Word calls us to see the world more clearly and to live within it more responsibly.
